Shield with a padlock in front of a phone for the privacy policy

This privacy policy explains what happens to your information when you use this website. The short version: we collect very little. The calculator stores nothing, the site runs no tracking scripts, and we only receive what you choose to send us when you get in touch.

The Calculator Runs in Your Browser

Our solar computation tool does all its math on your own phone or computer. The bill amounts, appliance loads and other numbers you type are not sent to us and are not stored by us. When you close or reload the page, they are gone. Nothing reaches us unless you choose to send it through our inquiry form.

Cookies and Tracking

As of 20 October 2026, the site uses no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no tracking scripts. We do not build visitor profiles and we do not sell or share data with advertisers.

If we ever decide to add analytics or any similar tool, we will update this page first and explain what it collects and why.

Server Logs From Our Host

The site is delivered through Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard technical data when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the site and protect it from attacks and abuse, and Cloudflare may use strictly necessary security checks for that purpose. Cloudflare handles this data under its own privacy policy.

When You Contact Us

When you ask for a quote or a site assessment through our contact page, you decide what to share. Usually that is your name, a way to reach you, your city or town, and details about your home and electricity use.

If you send a photo of your electric bill, please cover or crop out your account number and anything else we do not need. The kWh used, the total amount and the billing period are usually enough.

Photos You Upload Through the Form

The secure form on our contact page lets you attach a photo of your electric bill to your inquiry. This is how we handle it:

How We Use and Keep Inquiry Data

Your Rights Under the Data Privacy Act

The Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) gives you rights over your personal information. You can ask us:

To make a request, reach us through the contact page and tell us what you need. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may raise the matter with the National Privacy Commission.

Our guides link to outside websites such as government agencies, utilities and reference sources. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your data. Please read their policies before sharing anything with them.

Changes to This Policy

We will update this privacy policy when our practices change, and the date below will show the latest version. Please also read our terms of use, or go back to the JH Solar home page.
